About B4seline

Built by people who have run the jobs.

B4seline is a production-control layer for utility-scale energy, grid infrastructure, storage, transmission, and substations. It was designed by construction leadership with more than eighteen years in utility-scale renewable and grid construction - roughly 10 GW delivered across some 80 programs in the United States and Canada, spanning solar PV, battery energy storage, and high-voltage substation and transmission scope, under both union and open-shop labor strategies and both self-perform and subcontract delivery models.

That career ran from licensed electrician and field supervisor, through project management, to construction executive. B4seline was built in that order too - from the workfront up, not from a product roadmap down.

Why it works this way

Control starts at the workfront.

Every mechanic in this platform exists because the absence of it cost a real program real money.

01

Percent complete is an opinion. Installed quantity is a fact.

Status meetings run on numbers nobody can defend. A superintendent says eighty percent, the schedule says sixty, and the owner believes neither. B4seline starts from counted, credited, approved physical work, so progress is a measurement rather than a negotiation.

02

Rules of credit are where progress becomes auditable.

A pier that is drilled is not a pier that is set, and neither is a pier that has passed QA. Crediting each step at its own weight is the difference between a number you can defend in a claim and a number you cannot.

03

The schedule and the cost system disagree, and the field pays for it.

Scheduling, cost, and field reporting run in separate tools with separate identifiers, so reconciling them is manual, late, and contested. Mapping production units to schedule activities and cost codes means progress, hours, productivity, and forecast dates finally speak one language.

04

Liquidated damages are discovered, not forecast.

By the time a milestone slips far enough to be obvious, the exposure is already priced in. Turning a production rate into a forecast finish, then into days against the contract date and its grace period, daily rate and cap, moves that conversation weeks earlier - while there is still time to act.

What came before this

Enterprise control, rebuilt for the field.

The thinking behind B4seline was not theoretical. Inside large EPC organizations, the same leadership built and deployed the enterprise programs this product now packages: end-to-end stage-gate project governance from opportunity assessment through closeout; a work-breakdown restructuring that tied scheduling architecture to daily reporting, schedule-of-values-weighted progress, time tracking and productivity metrics; a standardized project analysis and change-management framework for contract exposure and scope change; a pre-mobilization alignment protocol that cut early-phase surprises and change orders; and the document control and business-process systems underneath all of it.

B4seline is that work rebuilt as a product, so a delivery team does not have to spend two years and an enterprise budget assembling it from scratch. Phase 1A is deliberately narrow: installed-quantity production control, rules of credit, approvals, productivity, forecast finish, milestone and LD exposure, and the schedule and cost crosswalk around them. Everything else waits until that is airtight.
